Account & Data Deletion

This page explains how to request deletion of your Edutele account and the personal data associated with it. It is published by EDUSIMS Technologies Ltd, operator of the Edutele Access identity, authorisation and redemption service.

1. How to request deletion

The quickest way is from your own account:

1. Sign in at edusimstech.com.
2. Open Settings, then the Help tab.
3. Choose Ask to delete my account, add a reason if you like, and send it.

You will see your request and its outcome on the same screen, and you can withdraw it while it is open.

If you cannot sign in, you can instead:

• Call Edutele support on 0393 003544; or
• Visit an Approved Edutele Service Access Point and ask staff to file the request on your behalf.

If you ask by phone or in person, please give us:

• The full name on the account;
• The phone number or email address the account is registered under;
• The Access Card serial number (if you have one);
• Which app you use: Edutele Access or Edutele AP.

We may need to verify your identity before acting on the request. We will not act on requests from third parties who cannot demonstrate authority to act for the account holder.

2. What gets deleted

On verified request, we delete:

• Your account profile (name, date of birth, gender, photograph);
• Your contact information (phone number, email address, next-of-kin details);
• Your account credentials (username, password hash, session tokens);
• Links between your account and any Access Card or Access Band you hold;
• Support correspondence tied to your account;
• Device identifiers, diagnostic logs, and usage data tied to your account.

3. What we are required to retain

Some records must be kept even after account deletion, to meet legal, tax, and audit obligations. These are retained securely, for the legally required period only, and are not used for any other purpose.

Where records must be retained, we strip them of directly identifying fields wherever this is consistent with the legal obligation, so the remaining data cannot be used to re-identify you.

4. How long the process takes

We acknowledge deletion requests within 5 business days and complete verified deletions within 30 days of receiving the request. If a request is more complex, we will tell you and give a revised timeline.

5. After deletion

Once your account is deleted, you will no longer be able to sign in to the Edutele Access or Edutele AP apps. Any Access Card or Access Band linked to the account will be deactivated. Unused membership allocations are forfeited on deletion and are not refundable, unless the account is being deleted because of a service failure on our part.
